Oklahoma Highland Gathering is our 3-day Scottish Festival. From IHGF-sanctioned highland games to pipes and drums, live music, dancing, and whisky tastings – this is an experience you don’t want to miss! Explore ancestry resources in clan row and watch traditional blacksmithing, lace tatting, and sheep herding demonstrations. Shop Celtic-themed vendors and enjoy cuisine from local food trucks. Whether you’re Scottish or not, everyone is welcome! If you’ve ever wanted to visit, now is your chance to experience the wild spirit of Alba. (That’s Gaelic for Scotland!)

connecting Oklahomans through a shared love of Celtic Heritage
United Scottish Clans of Oklahoma is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the education, preservation, and promotion of Scottish culture around the state of Oklahoma. We host various events throughout the year as well as free community programs like Gaelic language classes, Scottish book club, and a scholarship fund that’s available to Oklahoma residents of all ages.
Oklahoma Highland Gathering
Oklahoma Highland Gathering is our weekend-long celebration of everything Scotland, hosted during October in Choctaw Creek Park. From the IHGF-sanctioned highland games to pipe bands and cultural demonstrations, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Burns Night
Join us in January to celebrate Scotland’s most beloved bard, Robert Burns! Affectionately known as the ‘Ploughman Poet', his verses stand as a testament to Scotland’s proud literary history. This black-tie affair features a multi-course dinner with live music, highland dancing, poetry readings, various toasts, and a silent auction.

Can’t get enough of the Scottish highland games? Join us for a friendly competition between Oklahoma City and Tulsa athletes. Some of the feats you’ll see include the caber toss, sheaf toss, hammer throw, stone put, weight over bar, and weight for distance.
