United Scottish Clans of Oklahoma

Mission Statement

The United Scottish Clans of Oklahoma is committed to protecting, preserving and promoting Scottish and Celtic culture, language and values, and improving the quality of life for the next generation.

Vision Statement

We are an organization made up of individuals who, Scottish or not, love Scottish culture and strive to share that love with others in the state of Oklahoma. USCO brings together those interested in Celtic music, athletics, dance, and ancestral research, and much more to celebrate the unique heritage of Scotland.

Why Donate

United Scottish Clans of Oklahoma is a non-profit organization founded in 1986 by a small group of Scottish enthusiasts to educate the Oklahoma public about Scottish heritage and culture. In under 35 years, USCO has organized 20 Scottish festivals held in Midwest City, Edmond, and Yukon, a yearly Burns Night, and countless other events.

We have assisted in a variety of Scottish activities in central Oklahoma, including pipe and drum bands, Scottish Highland and country dance, ancestral research, and Gaelic studies. The organization needs your help to continue to educate the Oklahoma public, please donate to help.

The Oklahoma tartan

In 1998 Jerrel Murray designed the official Oklahoma tartan — a field of blue with bands of red, black, gold, and white (pictured left).  The organization has exclusive rights to that tartan and can be ordered from our online store.
